Lexing announces the Global Conference “Generative AI for Legal Experts”.
Lexing, the leading international network of lawyers dedicated to digital and emerging law, which brings together more than forty law firms on 5 continents, are pleased to announce the Global Conference “Generative Artificial Intelligence for Legal Experts”. This event will be held on 5 November 2024, 9:30am-5:30pm, remotely.
This international event is a unique opportunity for participants (in house counsels, data protection officers (DPOs) and chief information officers (CIOs)) to learn about the latest trends and innovations in generative AI in the legal world.
“Generative artificial intelligences such as ChatGPT are a revolution for legal professionals. 30% of the activity of lawyers and legal experts will be devoured by ChatGPT and the like” said Alain Bensoussan, Chairman of Lexing, and author of ChatGPT dans le monde du droit, a book analyzing the impact of generative AI on legal practice (Bruylant, Jan. 2024) and YouTube videos on legal cobotics. “We are delighted to organize this conference, which will enable participants to better understand how GAIs work and become ‘augmented’ legal professionals.”
The program for this conference is as follows:
- Introduction
- Generative AI & Law: the state of play
- What IA for lawyers?
- What are the advantages of generative AI?
- What are the disadvantages of generative AI?
- AI & Liability (with Alexandre Cassart)
- AI & IP Rights
- AI, Compliance and Trust
- Alignment with the law
- Conclusion.
These topics will be addressed by leading experts from around the world, members of the Lexing, bringing with them a unique global perspective.
The conference will be preceded by the Lexing’s general meeting, to be held on 4 November, immediately after the annual Congress of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA), of which Jean-François Henrotte is secretary general and Fanny Coton is vice-president of the Belgian National Committee..
